Filippo Agostinacchio crowned 2026 Italian Gravel Champion on the Carrera Eravel
Filippo Agostinacchio claimed the 2026 Italian Elite Gravel Championship aboard the Carrera Eravel. Racing in Artegna (Udine), the Team Biesse Carrera Premac rider secured the biggest victory of his season, winning his first Elite Italian Championship title after steadily progressing through the discipline with bronze in 2024 and silver in 2025.
The 2003-born rider from Aosta Valley, racing for the Brescia-based Continental team, showcased his talent in a fast and fiercely contested race that remained open until the closing kilometres.
In the closing stages, Agostinacchio broke clear alongside Pietro Mattio (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) on the final gravel sector before taking victory in the sprint to secure the Italian title. Nine seconds later, a group of six chasers crossed the line, led by Kevin Pezzo Rosola.
“Today’s race was incredibly tactical, fast and competitive. On the final climb I managed to break away with Mattio, and we settled it in the sprint,” said Filippo Agostinacchio after the finish.
It was also a successful day on the road for Team Biesse Carrera Premac. At the Giro delle Due Province in Marciana di Cascina (Tuscany), Leonardo Vesco finished fifth while Giacomo Villa claimed sixth place, giving the team two top-ten finishes.
The Italian Elite Gravel title is not only Team Biesse Carrera Premac’s most prestigious result of the season, but also an important confirmation of the work carried out over recent years in the discipline.
The victory came aboard the Carrera Eravel, Carrera’s high-performance gravel race bike, engineered to deliver lightweight construction, responsiveness and top-level performance. Designed to compete at the highest level, it now claims its first Italian Elite Championship title, further proving its racing DNA.
